New Grade for Pouilly-Fuissé 2013

Domaine du Chalet Pouilly received 90/100 for the Pouilly-Fuissé 2013.

(here too the vine age averages 50+ years old with the oldest being planted in 1945). There is an almost riesling-like petrol character to the softly exotic aromas of dried apricot and peach. The palate feel of the medium-bodied flavors is luscious to the point of being borderline oily and while that is rarely what I search for in white Burgundy, here it actually works for some reason thanks to the reasonably firm acid spine on the delicious finish. This is really quite good even though it's not even remotely classic in style. 90/2017+.
